Cheesy Garlic Bread

Garlic bread is one of those foods that I know I will absolutely never get tired of eating. I truly hope that when my time comes my last meal on this earth will involve garlic bread. Piled high with crispy bubbling Parmigiano-Reggiano and Asiago. Pair with pasta or enjoy it solo, either way it’s a gluten-free dream come true!

Servings : 4-6

Prep Time : 12 minutes

Bake Time : 10 minutes

Ingredients

1 gluten-free baguette, See Recipe Notes

1/2 cup salted butter, softened

2 tablespoons freshly minced garlic

1/4 cup finely grated parmigiano-reggiano

1/4 cup finely grated asiago

3 teaspoons soffritto or italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon dried parsley

salt to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic and the softened butter.

  2. Add the parmesan, asiago, soffritto seasoning or italian seasoning and the other dried spices. Mix all the ingredients together until fully combined.

  3. Cut baguette loaf in half lengthwise and spread the mixture evenly on each open facing side. Making sure to coat the bread generously.

  4. Place onto the prepared baking sheet and bake in the oven for about 8-10 minutes until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly. For extra crispy bread, broil for the last 1-2 minutes of baking time.

  5. Remove the finished bread from the oven, top with more shredded parmesan and serve warm.

Notes

  • I used Schar brand gluten-free baguettes for this recipe but you could use any gluten-free bread you like.
